Still warm weather, still in a good mood!

TODAY, I DID...

Take Ani to the self service dog grooming place, and spent hours trying to get out all her loose undercoat. She's looking very pretty now. :)
Donated plasma. (Ick...but then I had extra money!)
Played "baseball". (Our baseball game was played using a T-ball bat, and a tennis ball. Ian batted, I pitched, Austin was the outfielder, and Ani was a great cheerleader. lol)
Made seitan for the first time. Could've standed to be marinated a little longer, but it was pretty good for a first try!
Made grilled asparagus. Mmmmm....
Played Gears of War with Ian for many hours...oi.

Warm Weather=Good Mood!

I've been slacking off on the blog because I've been kind of down lately. But today I'm feeling good and wanted to make a record of my good day. I'm thanking the nice weather for this one! :)

TODAY, I DID...

Take Austin and Ani on a loooong walk with Ian.
Cleaned up my backyard. (Cleaned up all the trash my dogs had managed to scatter around during winter, scooped up all the accumulated dog poo, mowed the lawn...it was quite a chore. But now the yard is looking so much nicer!)
Started getting the garden ready for planting.
Practiced jumps with the dogs.
Made a super delicious dinner of BBQ "chicken", grilled carrots, and rice.
Made caramel corn.
Finally watched Underwolrd: Rise of the Lycans.

Tengo una familia grande

TODAY, I DID...

Get to see my sister who is visiting from Washington!
Feed, burp, entertain, and snuggle with my newest niece, Lexy. (Or Alex. I wanna call her Alex lol)
Color with Porter and Abi.
Push Hayden on the swings.
Take Abi to get ice cream.
Make Ava laugh.
Play tag with my nieces and nephews.
Go to my little brother's Court of Honor for getting his Eagle Scout.

Excited to see the fam

I'M GLAD...

That my sister Michelle is here all the way from Washington, and I get to see her and my nieces and nephews today!
For Naked Juice. It is sooo good...and good for you too!
That I had enough left over French toast from breakfast to share with the rats.
That it hasn't started snowing yet today. *crosses fingers*
That my car is all registered, insured, and good to drive. Even though that is all very expensive. :P

Get well soon, Gir!

I'm GLAD...

That Gir is still excited about food, and eating all by himself. (He's sick and skinny...so keeping food in him is important. And the fact that he's eating by himself means that he isn't feeling so terrible that he can't even feed himself, which is GREAT.)
That I've always had the money to take my animals to the vet when they need it. I've usually had to scrimp or make some sort of sacrifice to make this possible, but I'm just so glad there's never been a time that vet care was impossible because of lack of funds. *KNOCK ON WOOD*
That Ian and I got to start growing some veggies indoors yesterday!
That Ian has a relative who takes care of our car insurance. She has saved us so much money and stress so many times.
That I have a boyfriend who wants to see me happy, even if he has to make sacrifices.

I'm grateful for music and meditaing!

I'M GLAD...

For relaxing music.
That I found a deep fryer in my house...deep fried foods are so yummy lol.
For the internet. It's so great that when you want to know about anything you can just google it.
For meditation. It's free, makes you feel GREAT, and doesn't have any bad side effects! Awesome.
That my boyfriend, dad, or siblings aren't in the military. I'm thankful for people who are willing to go and do that, but I just don't think I could handle it if someone really close to me had to be shipped off for months at a time with a possibility of never coming back.
That I waited until I could rent Twilight to watch it. It sooo wasn't worth spending more than two dollars to see! Wasn't as sexy or romantic as the book, Edward had huge eyebrows, and what was up with the "Edward in the sun" scene? He didn't look amazing at all...just...weird. I usually have some kind of bone to pick with books made into movies anyway though.
